We Did It! London Marathon For IFAW Complete

We did it! Along with my son and 2 nephews I had the great honour yesterday of participating in the World’s largest fundraising event. The London Marathon brings out the very best in community spirit. From the elite runners, the 10s of 1000s running for charity, the over 6,000 volunteers making the mass event “run” smoothly to the absolutely World beating spectators – the very best of community spirit was on display. I can’t thank everyone involved enough. Every spectator who shouted my name kept me going. The volunteers at the Finish line treated everyone of us as winners.
It is so easy for us to fall for the divisions and mistrust promoted constantly online and in the media. Yesterday we ran and cheered together and for a day at least we were together.
