The Wildlife Trusts – Green recovery

Published 17.6.20

We are at a turning point. The UK’s economic recovery after the COVID-19 crisis must be based on nature’s recovery to build a healthier and more resilient society.

If we act now to protect our remaining wild places and restore those that are damaged, we can start winning the fight against the climate and ecological emergency, bringing wildlife back into people’s lives.

We already know what to do and now is the time to do it!

The Wildlife Trusts have been working with communities for years to restore nature, but we need to do this on a much bigger scale, and faster, to ensure that at least 30% of our land and seas are supporting nature’s recovery by 2030.

Funding Nature

We support The Wildlife Trusts in developing new mechanisms to enable investors to be part of exciting programmes to bring about nature’s recovery at the scale and pace needed to bring our UK wildlife back and effect a green recovery.
