Martlesham Wilds – another Funding Nature acquisition

Some more good news to cheer us up – not quite as cute as a baby bison but still a ray of light in these turbulent times.
With the support of very generous philanthropic loans Suffolk Wildlife Trust have just completed the acquisition of Martlesham Wilds in Suffolk.  That’s 11 sites (and almost 2,600 acres) now directly acquired through the philanthropic loan model, and several others in progress.  Philanthropic loans once again enabled a Wildlife Trust to buy land that it couldn’t have bought without the loans, giving them the time they need to complete their fundraising.

At almost 300 acres, adjoining the Deben Estuary and close to the communities of Martlesham and Woodbridge, this is another area which can now become wilder for both wildlife and people.   Find out more about Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s plans for Martlesham Wilds, and how you can support them here.
