We have the POWER have funded a role in Dorset within The Dorset Wildlife Trust for Rob Farrington to specifically collaborate and instigate rewilding in the county.

Rewilding is not only vitally important for our fast-disappearing UK wildlife but also one of the most sustainable and cheapest ways in which we can combat the climate crisis.

The UK government has pledged to protect 30% of the UK by 2030, in order to do this all sectors must work together to better protect what we have but also recreate wild spaces for nature and people.

Our role in Dorset is working to:

  • Create a co-ordinated, targeted approach in the county, between conservation charities, landowners, private businesses, individuals and the public sector to restoring land for nature.
  • Build a repeatable financial model to acquire and manage land at scale.
  • Advise and support landowners to rewild.
  • Become the one point of contact in Dorset for interested parties.
